Much of Lindenmayer's recent photographic works have been abstract explorations with the camera and in the darkroom. Earthworks, however, brought the artist back to a more traditional sentiment.

The images offer an intimate glimpse of the Bernard family farm in Lake City, Michigan. The farm is a rare spot of solace in todays busy world. Here, nature is allowed to live freely around the toils of man. The farm measures time in spots of rust and weathered wood as opposed to hours and days. The old machinery strewn around the open fields and sawmill tell the stories of those who were born, died, lived, and worked on the property. These photographs also pay homage to the artists, writers, musicians, and thinkers who have used the land over the years as a safe haven for their inner thoughts.
